Sustainable farming at its cosy, honey-coated best!

About Rosehaven Farms

From honey to animal husbandry, Pam and David Pratt have turned an escape from the city into a sustainable dream come true.

When we arrived in Horsham in 2012, we knew two things: David loved his bees and Pam couldn’t get enough of spinning yarn. That’s why we started our life in the country, with two beehives and three alpacas – which would grow into the realisation of a life-long dream.

Rosehaven Farms is nestled near Mount Zero, at the northern end of The Grampians in Victoria, Australia. We love welcoming visitors on farm tours, and also make and sell our own range of natural, handmade products, with beeswax, honey and alpaca fleece.

Country Life Experience

We adore all our animals and want to share them with you and your family!

Country life experiences are designed for small groups of people who would like to cuddle, brush and pat the donkeys, feed the alpacas and sheep and truly experience what farm life is like or simply walk around and meet the animals.

Rosehaven Farm Shop

Our new home in Laharum, in the beautiful Grampians region, has plenty of space for our animals, and enough room for a shop, too.

We also sell online, so nobody has to miss out.

If you love local, handmade products but you can’t be bothered to DIY, visit our shop.

We make everything here at the farm — choose from our Rosehaven honey, furniture polish, cutting board conditioner, soaps and lotions, beeswax wraps and (of course) our honey.

Showing and Breeding Alpacas

Celine, Fleur and baby Helena showed us everything there is to love about alpacas: gentle, affectionate and curious, they became like members of the family. We were hooked.

The next additions to our family were Ricky and Lulu. We started showing our Alpacas across Victoria with great results .

Along the way, we filled our farm with four stud male alpacas, dozens of breeding females, and an army of herd guard males that we could hire out to protect livestock.

It was time to al-paca up and move to a bigger property.

If you’re a wanna-bee-keeper or you’re working towards self-sufficiency, give us a buzz with your questions.

We were beginners once too, and we’re always happy to share what we’ve learnt over the years.
